Description

This katana is simply the most premium model available on our site. It is entirely hand-forged according to the strictest and most sacred Japanese traditions. This is in no way an industrial imitation, but an authentic sword crafted with passion and respect from Tamahagane steel — the legendary steel used by master swordsmiths for centuries. This noble material, obtained through an ancestral process from iron-rich Satetsu sand, gives the blade the perfect balance of hardness, flexibility, and elegance. Every millimetre of this blade is shaped by hand with rare and demanding expertise, and with such a low success rate that only a few pieces ever reach this level of perfection.

Blade made of Tamahagane steel

Tamahagane is a rare Japanese steel, derived from iron sand and smelted in a traditional furnace. Used for centuries, it offers exceptional purity and unique patterns on the blade. It is the iconic steel of authentic samurai katanas.

The package includes the katana(s), carefully packed. Additionally, a Japanese fabric bag worth $25 is offered with each katana order. You also have the option to add accessories such as a stand, a certificate of authenticity, a cleaning kit, or a premium storage box to enhance your collection.

Each katana is crafted only after your order is placed. We never produce in advance and we do not keep pre-made katanas in stock. As soon as your order is confirmed, our craftsmen begin forging your katana specifically for you. Every piece is hand-forged in accordance with traditional Japanese techniques, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and strict quality control at every stage.

By not storing our katanas, we preserve the purity of the materials, prevent oxidation caused by long-term storage, and ensure that you receive a freshly forged, authentic, and truly unique katana. Once completed, the katanas are shipped from China, allowing us to offer the best balance between delivery speed and cost efficiency.

This katana is forged from Tamahagane steel, a traditional Japanese steel known for its purity and the complexity of its production. Each piece is crafted using ancient artisanal techniques, requiring advanced expertise and significantly more time than standard katanas.

Due to this high standard of quality and the meticulous attention to every step, the preparation time is longer. Once your order is confirmed, we generally estimate a shipping time of 2 to 3 weeks.

However, we want to highlight that exceptional circumstances, such as logistical delays or peak periods, may extend these timeframes. While we do our best to ensure fast and efficient delivery, it is not possible for us to provide a precise delivery date.

Due to the unique nature of our katanas, we use specialized shipping methods to ensure fast and secure delivery while minimizing the risk of customs delays. Generally, we ship via UPS, known for its reliability. If this shipping method is not available, we rely on our secondary partner, SF Express, to ensure your order is delivered under the best possible conditions.

We take every precaution during the shipping process to help prevent customs fees. In nearly all cases, our customers receive their orders without any extra charges. Our logistics team works hand in hand with trusted partners to ensure that every shipment is properly documented and packaged to avoid delays or additional costs.

While extremely rare, customs authorities in some countries may impose import duties depending on local regulations. If this happens, please be aware that such charges are the responsibility of the buyer, as outlined in our Disclaimer.

No, buying a katana is not illegal in Canada. Katanas are not classified as prohibited weapons under the Criminal Code, which means you can freely buy, own, and display one — without any permit, license, or background check. Most retailers set a minimum age of 18 years old as their own purchase policy, and an adult signature is generally required upon delivery.

You can display your katana at home, use it for supervised martial arts practice, or keep it as a collector's or display piece. However, carrying a katana in public without a legitimate purpose (such as martial arts, an exhibition, or a cultural event) is prohibited under Canadian law. Carrying for self-defence is not considered a lawful purpose. Transport should always be done with the sword sheathed and stored in a proper bag or case, out of immediate reach. Disguised blades such as sword-canes are strictly prohibited.
